Committees

The purpose of committees, whether in government or in industry, is to provide a panel to focus on a particular subject matter. Ideally, these committees consist of a broad spectrum of members who represent the varied and often complex aspects characteristic of most of matters.

Board members tasked with a committee are responsible for populating that committee. That can be done a number of ways but remains at the discretion of the oversight member(s). Any public citizen that wishes to serve on a committee should contact the respective board member of that particular committee and apply for a seat. Contact coordinates can be found on the Town’s website.

Standing committees receive board member assignments each year at the Town’s Organizational Meeting of which the next is scheduled for January 6, 2027.
